Holidays away from home can be difficult for both the family at home as well as the one away, especially if you are stuck at college or university studying for mid terms or finals.
Traditionally, Easter is the time of year when most students must stay at school and away from their family and spring traditions.
I wanted to pop into the blog today and remind you of a couple local services helping make Easter feel more like home even for college or university students.
Canada Safeway (1.800.SAFEWAY) offers a full cooked turkey dinner including garlic mashed potatoes, traditional gravy and cranberry sauce. All they need to do is pick it up at the local store if pre-ordered… all they will need are the hidden chocolate eggs. For UBC, the closest store is 4575 West 10th Ave, Vancouver and for our SFU students the closest store might be the one at 6564 Easy Hastings, Vancouver.
The magical Easter Egg Hunt is going on gain this year at Van Dusen for lil hunters but of course, for Easter Bunny greeters of all ages is the Easter Brunch on Grouse Mountain which include a delicious buffet, face painting, Easter egg hunt and meeting the Easter Bunny. Call 604.998.5045 for your groups reservations. (Perfect if you are visiting our student, and can’t imagine trying to cook a meal in their dorm room).
And naturally if you would simply like to send some holiday wishes through a tasty Easter Basket across the miles, we are always here to custom create something special for them or send our popular Hoppin’ Along gift basket to family and friends that you simply wish you were gonna be able to send this special time of year with.
Enjoy this treasured and blessed holiday and thank you for stopping by,
Carole Mac
